Bowl & Pitcher Campground, Riverside State Park:

Bowl & Pitcher has gotten a lot of attention on our site, but did you know that it was also a campground? Camping at Bowl & Pitcher gives you all the benefits of enjoying the trails in Riverside State Park and the camping experience, without even having to leave town! Bowl & Pitcher features thirty different sites for tent campers and RVs. There are also two large group campsites for those who want to make it a big friend and family outing! If you enjoy hiking Bowl & Pitcher, definitely look into spending the night here.

Palouse Falls State Park:

Maybe a lesser known option for those new to the Spokane area is Palouse Falls State Park, located two-hours outside of Spokane. The park offers 11 tent sites which are filled on a first come first serve basis. Palouse Falls is over 200 feet and stands out against the beautiful canyon that it falls into. Even if you don’t spend the night, Palouse Falls is something to check out.

Nine Mile Recreation Area, Riverside State Park:

A great site for camping if you are looking for an active weekend. Nine Mile Recreation Area features swimming, fishing, a public boat launch, and many hiking and mountain biking trails. There are 21 full-hookup RV sites right by the water, as well as three tent site. Another great feature is that this campsite is located right near Deep Creek Canyon, which also offers hiking trails and climbing routes. This is clearly a great option for an active family.

Mount Spokane St. Park:

Mount Spokane St. Park offers eight different campsites which are available on a first come first serve basis. Mt. Spokane also features three different mountain summits which campers can hike to during the day. These include Mt. Spokane, Kit Carson, and Day mountain. If you are looking for something a little non-traditional, guests can rent and reserve the Quartz Mountain Fire Lookout, which sleeps four at an elevation of 5,129 feet. Mount Spokane State Park is a great option for a quick trip only being an hour outside of town.

Lake Spokane Campground, Riverside State Park:

If you are looking for a campground with a view, check out Lake Spokane Campground, which gives you a view of the water from a bluff. This campground offers 11 sites which all accommodate RVs. The site also features four boat-in sites, which are available first come first serve. Lake Spokane features a swimming area, a dock for fishing, and a public boat launch. A great spot for summer camping!
