Bowl & Pitcher:

This hike is a family-friendly loop hike that is perfect for any day you just want to get outside but do not have the time to plan a day hike. This could be a trail for your morning jog, an afternoon walk, or a place to introduce your kids to hiking. There are also campsites at this park. At 2.1 miles, this hike won’t take too much of your day, however, you still get all the elements of a perfect hike. A suspension bridge, flowing rivers, massive rocks and boulders to climb around. This hike is even perfect for dogs of all sizes!

Indian Painted Rocks Nature Trail & Knothead Valley Loop:

The Indian Painted Rocks are located in the Little Spokane River Natural Area. Approximately 250 years ago, Native Americans who lived along the Little Spokane River painted imagery on these rocks where the trailhead now starts. The rocks were well protected from erosion and can still be viewed today. There are two options when you get to the trailhead. The Painted Rocks Nature Trail is an easy 3.3 mile out and back trek with little elevation gain. This trail travels along the Little Spokane River, and offers peaceful views of meadows to one side and hills to the other. This nature trail is perfect for all ages and abilities. If you are up for more of a challenge, you can continue on past the nature tail and head up the Knothead Valley loop. Roundtrip this trail is just under 7 miles with a 1,049 ft elevation gain. This trail will give spectacular lookout views as well as beautiful wildflowers.

Deep Creek Loop Trail:

A trail rated “moderate” by AllTrails, this loop located in Riverside State Park spans about 5.4 miles with 830 ft of elevation. This loop offers great views of the river as well as an awesome lookout point. The trail is partially on the paved Centennial Trail and also features a bridge that crosses the river.

Sullivan Lakeshore:
