
Winter Hikes

Antoine Peak Conservation Area:
Antoine Peak is located in the mountainous area just outside of Spokane Valley. One of the greatest features of this hike is the 360-degree view at the top of the summit (3,373). There are two main trailheads, the east and the west trailhead. The east loop is around 3.6 miles round trip,

Mica Peak Conservation Area:
Mica Peak boasts a peak elevation of 5,200 ft. While there are no formalized trails yet, Mica peak is an extremely popular destination for hikers, bikers, and equestrians. Right out of the parking lot, there is a great incline, offering an intense workout for all who are up for the challenge. While the peak itself is private property, views from the western slope still offer 2,000 feet elevation and views. Those who have hiked the area recommend following the bike trails.

Dishman Hills: Iller Creek:
Iller Creek is a 5.0 mile roundtrip hike with an elevation gain of 1200 ft. This hike is located at the edge of Spokane Valley and offers views of the valley and the Palouse. One of the best parts about this hike is that it is a loop, giving you a variation of views the whole distance. Hikers recommend doing the hike counterclockwise. Iller Creek has been considered one of the best hikes in the area for both summer and winter, so when the snow is melted make sure you take a trip up and enjoy the Big Rocks.

Dishman Hills: Pinecliff Loop Trail
A much shorter hike than the ones listed above, Pinecliff Loop Trail is a 1.3 mile trail great for all ages. This trail has very little elevation gain and is perfect for snowshoeing. Looking to get out just for a couple hours? This trail is one to consider!
